You're not. As you most likely were aware before replying I use
Thunderbird. However in the portion you snipped I did say that if the client
could not handle it, file a bug against the client.

29041 depends on 45715 which depends on 17796. You'll note that while I
didn't report the bugs they are reported and I have voted them as bugs I'd
like to see fixed.
As I said, breaking standards to work around a problem in the client is
the wrong way to do things. Fix the client, not break the standard.
