Three possibilities:
#1 Install a GnuTLS backport (i.e. libgnutls7 from unstable recompiled
to run on Debian/stable)
#2 Change the EDITME and link against OpenSSL instead of GnuTLS.
#3 Don't compile yourself but use a backport. (Actually at least for
mine[1] this includes #1)

PS: There never was a v4.3, there was a 4.03 and the crrent version is
4.30 ("four dot thirty) ;-)
