Subject: [Exim] delivery problem in satellite box
Hello everybody,
can't figure out what is going on. The system runs exim3, and its
configured to deliver all mail (eximconfig's satellite (3) option) to
another host called homero in the same internal net. The test mails
produce this in mainlog:
2003-11-04 13:46:09 1AH4Jl-0006QA-00 <= admin@??? U=root P=local S=310
2003-11-04 13:46:09 1AH4Jl-0006QA-00 == fmaresca@homero T=remote_smtpdefer (-44): retry time not reached for any host
2003-11-04 13:46:28 1AH4K4-0006QK-00 <= admin@??? U=root P=local S=325
2003-11-04 13:46:29 1AH4K4-0006QK-00 == admin@??? T=remote_smtp defer (-44): retry time not reached for any host

the account admin@??? is working ok, there ou of dig
homero.qlp.com.ar or dig@homero is ok too:
------------------
router:/etc/exim# dig homero

; <<>> DiG 9.2.2 <<>> homero

So, what can be happen?
There is no problem delivering mail from others machines to this account
in the network.
This router box (as it's name says) is a fw and router for this subnet
(and runs a dnscache) wich is the default dns for the machines on the
subnet. Only the internal iface smtp port is open, so:
------
router:/etc/exim# telnet homero 25
Trying 192.168.1.5...
Connected to homero.qlp.com.ar.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 homero.qlp.com.ar ESMTP Exim 3.36 #1 Tue, 04 Nov 2003 13:54:21 -0300
------
fine, isn't it?
Can someone put me in the rigth direction?
Thanks a lot for your time.
