Hi

We use a NTL MX server as our 3rd Mail server for the domains. Recently
we lost the
leased line connection so mail was spooled up to this mail server while
the line was down.
I just got a call from NTL saying that there is still mail spooling on
the server and which is
being rejected by my mail server.

I checked the logs while there tried a force delivery and the mails look
just look like
forged address and SPAM etc.. Below is a sample from mail coming from
there spooling MX

2003-10-10 13:28:49 H=mailrelay1-gui.server.ntli.net [194.168.54.49] F= temporarily rejected RCPT : Could not complete sender verify

2003-10-10 13:29:18 H=mailrelay1-gui.server.ntli.net [194.168.54.49] F= rejected RCPT : Sender verify failed
2003-10-10 13:29:23 SMTP call from mailrelay1-gui.server.ntli.net [194.168.54.49] dropped: too many nonmail commands (last was "RSET")

They say it is an issue with my MX server as it should not be doing a sender verfify
on there server 194.168.54.49 and is not looking at the headers correctly in order
to get the "orginal" sender... Are they right??

I used Exim 4.20 by the way.

Cheers

Jamie
