I am newer to exim, so may I ask....

Could this not help also?

Is it possible to write a rule that sees if the email server for this
domain matches the Verisign IP to be dropped. It may solve SPAM with
fake domain names, no?

Sorry to play devils advocate while being a newbie to exim ;)

What an ingenious way to collect sender email addresses from people
trying to reach (potentially sellable) nonexistant domain names...

I wouldn't put it past them.
