Yes, and probably yes, but it wouldn't work! The problem is the
environment. Exim finds out all kinds of things such as the user who is
running it, the IP address of the host, the name of the local host, etc.
Then there are things like the private local DNS zone I use for testing,
the test user names and so on. Also, it currently expects a very
full-flavoured Exim, with almost everything optional included.

The current test suite would probably also fail even if I just speeded
up the cpu, for those tests that check things like retry times.

One of the major items in the Plan for the Future that I am hoping to
start in the new year will be to figure out how to create a more
portable test suite, at least for those features that can be tested in a
portable way.
