I fully agree with that. Sieve scripts work on the decoded headers for
exactly that reason: Users expect to filter on items shown by their MUA,
indepently of their representation. Most users never saw MIME-words or
even know they exist.
It's an incompatible change, but fixing bugs usually introduces
incompatibility concerning applications that depend on them. ;-)
Whoever updates Exim is well advised to read about new stuff, possibly
changing the configuration as required. Since we all RTFM, nobody will
be taken by surprise.
