Maybe a wishlist item for "if mail from:<> generates a 5xx error code,
consider it a defer or pass verification". I haven't read the wishlists so
I don't know if that's been wished before.

Personally, I'd prefer NOT to accept mail rom hosts that refuse MAIL FROM:<>
