Subject: [Exim] Exim 4.20, Exiscan logging to panic log
Hi:
    I am running RedHat 9 on a Dell box with Exim 4.20 and Exiscan-acl-4.20-09.
The demime facility is catching a few errors and logs warnings in the main log,
but for some reason it also logs them in the panic log. It still delivers the
mail, so I assume it's not a serious error.

    My data acl is just the exiscan default:

deny message = This message contains a MIME error ($demime_reason)
        demime = *
        condition = ${if >{$demime_errorlevel}{2}{1}{0}}

    I'm getting panic log messages like the following:

2003-07-07 03:54:46 19ZShq-0005cO-8y demime acl condition: uuencoded line length
is not a multiple of 4 characters
2003-07-07 04:24:11 19ZTAJ-00061V-EB demime acl condition: double headers
(content-type, content-disposition or content-transfer-encoding)

    I don't know if the log selector affects panic logging, but I have it set as
follows:

log_selector = +all -skip_delivery

    I would prefer to reserve the panic log for really serious problems. Any
help in getting this turned off would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Russ
