Hi

I had the same problem during compile on a redhat 9 system with exim 4.14.
The following was added to my Local/Makefile; specifically the -lz for
compress.

> LOOKUP_LIBS=-L /usr/local/mysql/lib -lmysqlclient -lz

I hope that helps

Regards

Simon

So, what can I possibly do to get around this issue? I also modified the following params in the exim Makefile for linux and my version of the mySQL install:
