My mail server crashed after I applied a security patch... so I went ahead and
bumped it up to the latest release of my Linux distro (Linux-Mandrake 9.1) and
so far I'm pretty pleased... MySQL4 and Apache2
(Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/2.0.44) have some pretty impressive security
and performance improvements. Not to mention the other goodies.

Just one problem. The old kernel was 2.4.18, and I had to re-compile Exim
3.36 as the RPM on www.rpmhelp.net (Mandrake-Specific RPM's) wouldn't work
with a stock compile on the 2.4.21 (2.4.21-0.13mdk to be exact) kernel (plus
all the newer libraries) for some reason... Once I recompiled it (after
finding all the necessary modules that weren't installed by default... such as
libdb3 and openldap (libdb4 is the one installed by default)) I noticed that
while everything else seemed to work fine, exiwhat didn't seem to want to work
anymore. it just displays (after a long pause) "No exim process data"...
It'd be nice to have this useful program working again. Any suggestions?
