I reckon you're being excessively modest. I just happened to have been
watching (dynamic screen) Exim 4.14 processes and memory at the same
time as spamd and slapd were running during an incoming mail run from my
ISP - around 100 - 150 messages. I could hardly believe:

1: That Exim was using so little processor time for such short periods,

and

2: How little memory it was using, /and/ freeing each time.

I'm talking about absolute minute quantities of both, compared to hunks
of megabytes for spamd. And slapd was spawning thread after thread up to
its max of 32 before they were being terminated.

Reckon Exim's a gem.
