Hello Sir,
Sir i am using Exim 4.14 the latest version in my Red Hat 8.0 server machine. Wel i'm facing few problems while configuring Windows Clients in Microsoft Outlook Express ...
let me tell you the exect problem ...
every thing seems to be cofigured perfectly
as i test by telnet ...
telnet 192.168.0.1 25 (telnet to port 25 SMTP)
it executes ... and when i telnet
telnet 192.168.0.1 110 (telnet to port 110 POP3)
it also executes ... this means both are working fine
BUT .. when i configure my client in Microsoft outlook express means to say that when i configure SMTP: 192.168.0.1
pop3: 192.168.0.1
incomming and out going (send & receive) in the outlook express and when i execute send & seceive ... an error occured ... as mention below
"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'test', Server: '192.168.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10071, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
(note: test account is present in my Linux server)
even pop3 is working fine as i mention above (telnet 192.168.0.1 110) it executes ... but again the problem still there...
Now i got confused what to do next ... how to solve this problem ?
