I seem to be having some problems with receiving email from the
*.svr.pol.co.uk servers. My log has several errors along the lines of:
2003-03-19 12:53:49 TLS error on connection from
(mail18.svr.pol.co.uk) [195.92.67.23] (SSL_accept):
error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
2003-03-19 13:28:50 TLS error on connection from
(tmailb1.svr.pol.co.uk) [195.92.168.141] (SSL_accept):
error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
Now, a quick check suggests that this paricular error is down to a
client closing connection before ssl is negotiated. It seems that
these servers have some issues with ssl.
For the time being I've added *.svr.pol.co.uk to the lists of hosts
not to advertise tls to but has anyone else seen this behaviour ?
What's more worrying is that the pol.co.uk servers are also running
Exim. Is this likely to be a mistake at my end or their end ? I
haven't seen any other problems with tls/ssl other than with these
hosts. Any ideas ?
