Subject: [Exim] why mail from local source is relayed?
Hello,

I do not like anything to be relayed by my server unless the
connection is authenticated.

I thought that doing the following:

#commented out
#accept hosts = :

and setting

relay_from_hosts =

so that

accept  hosts         = +relay_from_hosts

would not relay even local email (that is not sourced from the network)

but instead:

[drum:~] g% cat testo | Mail someuser@someremotedomain
[drum:~] g% 2003-01-10 14:20:58 H8I56Y-000CN1-00 <=
localuser@localdomain U=g P=local S=323
2003-01-10 14:22:14 H8I56Y-000CN1-00 => someuser@someremotedomain
R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp H=mx2.hotmail.com [65.54.254.145]
2003-01-10 14:22:14 H8I56Y-000CN1-00 Completed

so, do I really have to add

deny     !domains = +local_domains
    !authenticated = *
    message = We only relay from authenticated senders

?

Thanks
