Hello there,
I have read the FAQ (
http://www.exim.org/exim-html-4.10/doc/html/FAQ_3.html),
but this problem is still hanging over my head. I still haven't found the clue
I am looking for or maybe I am just missing it completely.
The problem I am experiencing is that Exim refuses to accept an e-mail
from my user when dns lookup for the destination domain fails, meaning
the addresses that can't be resolved (the DNS lookup times out).
Exim write this to the rejectlog:
2002-11-18 12:02:12 H=([62.8.64.129]) [62.8.64.129] F=<user@???> temporarily \
rejected RCPT <gab@???>: DNS lookup of "gt.co.ke" deferred
Well, this means that the e-mail does not leave the client machine as Exim refuses
to accept it, yes???
This is the bahaviour that I am gonna get bald about. What I want is for Exim to
accept the e-mail anyway, queue it and send it when dns lookup succeeds.
May someone help me with a solution to this. I want the e-mail to be accpted
and be tried later. I'd be better off without the temporary rejection.
