[Exim] trying

Hi i'm quite sorry to mail this but go on
With debian i had exim and Mutt so i'm tring to install the mail ,but
nothing
I don't know where tu put the hand on.
I've got a dial-up conection ,a woody (debian) ,i don't have any lan
,just me and myself
How to geton?
I've tried eximconfig and choosed 2 ,is that correct that exim retrives
mail from smtp(isn't it from pop)
how does it?what is the meaning of domain,really i don't know which way
to go
example my pop is POP.battilafiacca.net my smtp is smtp.battilafiacca.net
and i want to pu all my mail at /home/franz/ how can i do all that
remind i want to use mutt
