[Exim] exim -d <address> < <file> --> message

Subject: [Exim] exim -d <address> < <file> --> message_size=0 in appendfile.c?

I'm trying to test my system quota modifications to Exim 4. But I've
noticed that the message size in the appendfile transport is always 0 at
quota_warn time when I run exim -d and read the message from standard
input. Is this a problem with the -d option? How is message_size set
when reading from standard input?
