Hi, thanks for the response, and confirmation, that you have had exim
vacation working in version 4.05 - at least I now know that it is likely my
configuration and not exim that is at fault.

I tried what you said using your previous message as the test, the debug
output is shown below. I notice that the reply message is generated with
"Mail to: <default>" is this correct/should this be happening ?

In my previous message to the list I showed in the queue debug that a
response message was being generated by the .forward file for user
simon.alman in response to a message from test user haven. However the
response is then being held on the queue with the error:

" == ><haven@???> <simon.alman@???> R=userforward
T=address_reply defer (0): Failed to send message from address_reply
transport (1)"

I have provided copies of the relevant transports and routers (all fairly
standard stuff). Why is this happening ? The debug output doesn't appear to
be telling me much that is useful in troubleshooting the problem further.
Any further ideas/opinions would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards

Simon Alman
