Woops... As you found out the book is for version 3.XX and not 4.XX
As far as I know, 4.XX is still in beta.

Yes, if you like walking on the edge of what is new, testing new
features and writting bug reports as the whole thing crashes onto you.
No, if you want to learn mail admin and using Exim.
The book is a mine of imformation on MTAs in general and on Exim in
particular. If _is_ well worth reading and having handy. Once you have
mastered exim 3 it is trivial to get to grips with Exim 4 anyway.
