iiiha. unlucky you :)

without any macos knowledge, but guys around using macs, i'd say
you've hit a nice "feature" of the darwin fs - namely that it is
case-insensitive, while being case-preserving. and, the method by
which the names of the spool file are generated, does need a
case-sensitive filesystem.

i think you're out of luck here as long as you're using hfs+ (or apple
`fixes' it).
