i almost said, 'search the archives'... (oh, it's you, sheldon? sorry,

yes, childrens are started up with the proper config file. this was an
issue once, and fixed in... in... dunno. sometime in the last two
years :) check the changelog, it might have a note about... but i do
remember for sure that there was at least a mail or two about it on
the list, and Philip said he fixed it.
