Hi All,
I've got this weird problem.
After a migration from qmail to exim & courier-imap for pop3
we've got people complaining about attachments that don't show up
as attachment, but are included in the body of the message.
When directly mailing those people with an attachment that goes ok,
when mailing them an old message which I found on the mailserver
which was handled with qmail which had an attachment that goes ok.
So I guess its exim?
NOTE: this problem only occurs so far with M$-servers, running some pop3
client that grabs the mail from our server to theirs (compareble to smth
like fetchmail for unix) (popbeamer for instance)
Also it seems as if most problems occur with outlook 2002.
Read something about microsoft breaking mime-specs, but when I mail
those people directly all is OK.
So there is something going not right in the path:
mailer -> exim -> courier-imap -> customer
in the old scenario:
mailer -> qmail -> qmailpop -> customer all was working ok
and when doing:
mailer -> customer all is also working ok.
and so far as I can see, it seems as if courier-imap isn't the "bad guy"
but exim shouldn't bother with the mails either, or am I mistaken?
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
(using exim 3.34 / courier-imap 1.4.3)
Regards,
Diederik
