"Retry" is explained in the "spec" file:
" ... retry rules ... control how often Exim tries to deliver messages
that cannot be delivered at the first attempt."
In other words, it doesn't try constantly, but will try at the retry
intervals (up to a set time), like every two hours for five days.
Have a look at the "RETRY CONFIGURATION" chapter.
I wouldn't worry about this log entry unless the corresponding
"16gwll-0001my-00" entries indicate problems.
