Subject: [Exim] Problems with "exim -bvs"
Hello All

I have been playing with the "exim -bvs" command and the results
seem a little unexpected.

If I run

"exim -bvs spammer@???"

I get this result as validdomain.com is in fact a valid domain.

"spammer@??? verified"

However if I add "spammer@???" to a lookup file
listed in "sender_reject", the above address is still verified.
Despite this, mail from the sender is rejected and this can be
tested using:

exim -bvh <ip-address>
helo me
mail from: spammer@???

which generates the error:

550 rejected: administrative prohibition

I am using exim 3.12. Is this a bug in exim, or something I have
missed in the documentation?

Regards

Ian
