Autor: Ed Pascoe Datum: To: Exim-Users Betreff: [Exim] exim sending duplicates of mail after completion.
Hi All
I've developed a strange problem on two different exim machines. It seems
that when the
network is reasonably loaded exim will send an email, log it as completed in
the
log, and then send another copy a short while later.
There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. I haven't been able to reproduce
it reliably,
and although it seems to happen more often when there are multiple
recipients, I have had
it happen on single recipients.
The delay between sending the duplicates has ranged from a few seconds up to
about 10 minutes, and the number of duplicates is usually 1, but I have had
as many as 4 at a time reported. I have upgraded all the machines to exim
3.33 which hasn't helped.
One machine is a Redhat 6.2 server, the other is 7.1, the two servers are
completely unrelated,
different sites, ISP's, companies everything. Since I set up both boxes, I'm
guessing it must be something in my config.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what or where I should be looking to
stop this?
Ed.
