Hi
I have installed the new filter (v0.17) and now I am getting the following error in
mainlog:
2001-09-20 12:42:17 15k1HW-0005sq-00 Error in message_filter file: string is too long in
line 119 of filter file (max = 256 chars)
I did add some of my own filters to that file, but line 119 seems to point to the filter
that searches for VBS attachments. That string does exceed the 256 char limit that the
error message refers to:
paveway:/etc# echo
"(?:Content-(?:Type:(?>\\\\s*)[\\\\w-]+/[\\\\w-]+|Disposition:(?>\\\\s*)attachment);(?>\\\\s*)(?:file)?name=|begin(?>\\\\s+)[0-7]{3,4}(?>\\\\+))(\\\\S+\\\\.(?:ad[ep]|ba[st]|chm|cmd|com|cpl|crt|eml|exe|hlp|hta|in[fs]|isp|jse?|lnk|md[be]|ms[cipt]|pcd|pif|reg|scr|sct|shs|url|vb[se]|ws[fhc]))[\\\\s;]"
| wc
1 1 277
I am using "Exim version 3.12 #1 built 08-Jun-2001 14:21:07" on a Debian 2.2 system.
Would a later version of Exim handle longer strings in filters? Has anyone else
experienced this problem.
Thanks,
Ryan
