[Exim] Exim and Lotus Notes

Hi to all I am new of this mailing-list and I was busy a question:
I am trying to authenticate from a Lotus Notes client (5.06a) on exim
3.33, but when the server is ready to receive the data it goes out the
message:
"unexpected disconnection while reading SMTP dates (header) from... "

I have tried with the option of debug (exim - d9 - bd) but I don't
understand what can be.
Is there someone who can help me?
