I recently became aware that my home mail server(Debian 2.2 -
http://naasking.homeip.net) hasn't been delivering mail. It's been working
fine for months and just stopped recently. I can still recieve mail, but
sending never gets through(local mail does get through though, ie. if I send
an e-mail to myself). I can telnet into the smtp port(from outside), so it's
not that. When trying to
send a simple test message to two of my e-mail addresses, I get the

So it appears that exim cannot resolve the two host adresses via DNS(though
it lists their IP addresses). So I checked the mailing lists and the FAQ.
The archives suggested that port 25 may be blocked and to try telneting into
it(which I already discounted) and also to ensure I have a default gateway
configured(I do since the server is masquerading fine as we speak - a
further check with 'netstat -rn' verified this). The FAQ suggested I try
executing 'exim -d11 -bt <remote address>' (FAQ no. Q0015). The output for
magi@??? and naasking@??? are:

By the looks of these outputs, it seems that exim has no trouble looking up
the addresses. So I'm now at a loss and I'm throwing myself at the mercy of
the mailing list. :-(
This trouble may have started when I tried sending a large e-mail with many
attachments(about 15-20, with the e-mail weighing in around 2.0MB). That's
one of the first e-mails that I noticed didn't get through(but I believe
some from previous days also didn't get through(I can't check because I've
been messing around with this and apparently rotated all logs previous to
today completely out of existence - my bad).
Anybody else have any suggestions or ideas about what's going on? If you've
