[Exim] Exim-3.32 on FreeBSD

This might interest Sheldon Hearn but lemme just put it here because he'll
get to see it anyway.

After installing Exim from the ports, I have a small hitch and it is that
while running Exim as exim:mail, it refuses to do local deliveries to
/var/mail/$local_part because, as it says "the files there have the wrong
mode", which is 600.

<root@???> T=local_delivery defer (-7): mailbox /var/mail/wash has
wrong mode 600

/var/mail is owned by root:mail. Do I change the permissions on mail?
