nslookup is generally consider a bad tool to use for doing DNS
testing -- the error messages it returns often are confusing and/or
irrelevant. You may find better results with dig or dnsquery.

Anyways, as far as I know, hotmail.com (which is really many
servers) doesn't run a world-accessible name server. It will always time
out.

And this error has nothing to do with hotmail. All this means is that
142.66.73.2 doesn't have an in-addr.arpa/reverse lookup to provide the
hostname. (Ask the ULETH.CA admins to fix this.)
