And i use m4 to help me maintain one set of personal config files
(.bashrc, .Xdefaults, .xsession, .gtkrc, .muttrc, .procmailrc, etc.)
that adapt to several different machines and OSes.
I suspect the best thing to do regarding exim would be to submit
collections of Makefile + exim.conf.m4 to be included in the
configuration examples....
