I have smtp auth working on OE and netscape without any problems EXCEPT for OE
on the mac. if the Account ID for smtp authentication contains the "@" symbol,
the client will not attempt to authenticate itself. Instead, it will attempt
to send without authentication and fail. With anything other than the "@"
symbol separating the local_part and the domain, the client will attempt to
authenticatate, but authentication fails because exim does not expand
"user%domain.com" as it would "user@???" into the two parts, local_part
and domain.
So, I need to figure out how to have exim accept "user%domain.com" as it would
"user@???" or figure out a way to force the mac client to send as it
should.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
