Install dynamic DNS on their machines (places like dynodns.org / dhs.org
give it to you for free, and there are services like nols.com which charge
a small fee for this service (along with hosting etc). Then relay for
these, after setting up your machine as a backup MX for them.

Or simpler still, install UUCP (exim plugs into UUCP well enough) and have
them fetch / send mails that way. UUCP works quite well over TCP, you dont
need to dedicate phone lines for it.
