Scratch that! Finally worked it out:

condition = ${lookup mysql{MYSQL_AUTORESP}{yes}}

On another note, is it possible to set the "once (autoreply)" option to use
an MySQL table rather than a DBM file? On reading the spec I'm guessing "no"
at this point in time?
