Subject: [Exim] setting up exim for SMTP-AUTH as client
How do I use exim to send email through a smarthost that requires
SMTP authentication? I am not a professional, so I don't understand
the documentation on this topic. I just want to know what lines
I need to put in my exim configuration file. I know my mail server,
my username, and my password, and I'm using Debian Linux with exim
configured for sending through a smarthost:
smarthost:
driver = domainlist
transport = remote_smtp
route list = "* my.favorite.smarthost bydns_a"

end

Thanks,
Jonathan Pyle, jpyle@???
