Every instinct I have tells me that this should be done in the MUA.

Guess at solution:
Use an exim filter file to sort your mail into separate folders specific
to different lists. Then use pine "Roles" to set a Cc to the appropriate
list triggered by the different folders. It may be best to ask on
comp.mail.pine where there are people who know how to do very fancy things
with pine Roles.
