I'm trying to convert a sendmail installation to exim, and it's been set
up to use nisplus for a virtual mail database. I have it working fine
for regular addresses, where the alias is
joeuser@??? joeuser@???
But the sendmail installation also supported a catch all address of
@one.domain joeuser@???
I've tried both the aliasfile director with
query = [alias=${local_part}@${domain}],mail_aliases.org_dir:expansion
and the smartuser driver with
new_address = ${lookup nisplus* {[name=$local_part],mail_aliases.org_dir:expansion}\
{$value}fail}
And in both cases exim has errored with the message
"partial" is not permitted for lookup type "nisplus"
Is there anyway to handle the catch address with exim and nisplus? I
was planning on having to convert
@one.domain
to
*@one.domain
to match exim's partial syntax but can't even seem to get that far.
