Well, `diff -c' here produces output like
ben@scientia:~/tmp$ diff -c foo bar
*** foo Thu Jun 3 20:03:34 1999
--- bar Thu Jun 3 20:03:37 1999

but the Exim diffs only have

for each file, without the "--- " line as well, which could be what the
complaint is. I've got patch 2.1 here so I can't verify that though,
it's just a guess. Perhaps Marc could test it for you.
