Subject: [EXIM] Linux & longer Usernames
Dear folks,

I am currently running Exim on a Sun Netra workstation and like to
move it to a Linux machine. Due to the fact that die Sun allows
longer usernames, our former sys-admin has put a lot of
"firstname.lastname" POP3-Ids on the machine, to make mapping
from Emailaddress -> POP3-ID easy.

On Linux the length of usernames are restricted to 8 chars or
whatever. Has someone an idea to move the current mail-config
to Linux. I think this is not really exim-related but I wondered
if someone knows a kernel-patch or something else.

Thank you all very much i.a.

Regards,
Sascha
