Subject: [EXIM] Bad mode

Hi all,

I'm still a newbie to Linux, have configured Exim (and UUCP, INN, TIN,
MUTT), works fine, tried the exim-filters.

My /etc/exim.conf looks like this:

# Director
userforward:
driver = forwardfile
no_verify
check_ancestor
file = .forward
# modemask = 002
filter

My ~/.forward looks like this:

# Exim filter <== do not edit or remove this line!
# security net
if
   error_message
then
   finish
endif
# Mailing-List Debian-User
if
   $header_X-Mailing-List: contains debian-user@???
then
   save $home/mail/debian-user
endif
# Test for successful delivery
if
   not delivered
then
   save $home/mail/anormal
endif

/var/spool/log/exim/mainlog complains:

1999-02-19 00:06:01 10DcW9-0005Mr-00 <=
uucp@??? U=uucp P=local S=1014

bad mode (100664) for /home/fpage/.forward (userforward director)

etc. etc. etc.

What did I do wrong?

Kind regards

Frederick
