Security is manageable - you need to determine what sort of access
you'll allow. Naturally I'm not suggesting you'd open it to the
world.

What's cool is that you don't spend your time writing GUI interfaces -
the vast amount of work that's gone into developing browsers and HTML
simplifies your life. You don't spend time writing or maintaining the client -
netscape and others have done that for you. The client doesn't change
when you add new features. A vast array of web-enabling technology is
at your disposal. Sure, you can write a custom exim gui in Motif.
Notice it hasn't been done? I believe that's because it's too much
work to develop and maintain. Toolkit standardization is a problem,
leading us to a lowest common denominator solution. Everyone can have
a nice web browser. (Well, almost everyone).

I just installed the recent samba-2.1 alpha, which comes with this
type of interface. I think it's great.
