The Practicum panel entitled "Mailer Wars" was held today at LISA '98.
All in all, I have to say that things went very well for Exim. Panelists
includ Eric Allman for Sendmail, Wietse Venema for VMailer/Postfix (a late
addition 15 minutes before the panel), Russ Nelson for QMail, and myself
for Exim.
I was the only one who had a presentation prepared. Those interested can

We each did 10-12 minutes on the strengths of our mailer followed by
questions from the audience. Each question was posed to all panelists to
be fair. I like to think that I inspired quite a bit of interest in Exim
with my answers, though I suppose new subscriptions to this list and the
resultant questions will tell the true story.
In any case, it was both an informative and enjoyable session to be on a
panel with such recognizable names, and I hope that I served Exim's best
interest by being there.
