Exim 2.05 and 2.054

Exim user ID : 504
Majordom user ID : 505
I am getting errors like the following in the log. Notice that exim is
trying to use the exim user to open the file instead of the majordom
user.

to open /usr/local/majordomo/lists/lists.aliases for linear search:
Permission denied (euid=504 egid=504)
1998-12-08 16:30:11 0znTlr-0004xM-00 == majordomo@???
D=majordomo_aliases defer (-18): failed to open
/usr/local/majordomo/lists/lists.aliases for linear search: Permission
denied (
euid=504 egid=504)
This is what I have in my configure file:

majordomo_aliases:
driver = aliasfile
file = /usr/local/majordomo/lists/lists.aliases
search_type = lsearch
user = majordom
group = majordom
This is the permissions on the file:
-rw-r--r-- 1 majordom majordom 462 Dec 8 16:37 lists.aliases
