Even if it makes no real sense, can (should) I imitate the behaviour of
sendmail, so that users don't get the described error message?
For testing I send myself an email with activated "return receipt" in
Netscape Mailer, I did not see any header like "Return-receipt-to:" in
those Email.
Sorry if this is a beginner question, maybe my questions shows which
problems other exim beginners will have in future. :)
One of the first things to do, when I changed from a running sendmail
system to exim, was to find out: how to let exim do the same work? I
found out how to qualify unqualified hostnames, accept relaying from
local nets and set up different router (at least one to my provider).
After doing it, it's a really easy and neat configuration... now I
stand before another exim/sendmail difference: this return-reciept-
stuff.
The big questions is: Are there more things to configure, to let exim
do the same work that sendmail did before? Yes, I still try to let the
vacation(1) programm run properly or using procmail filters. Any hints,
there are now less example configurations together with exim.
