Sorry, I'm too cynical to believe that that would happen in practice.
Much of the spam is pushed through innocent open relays which are poorly
maintained in the first place. Other messages come via very large ISP
machines, where the admins probably won't notice them amidst all the
other stuff. Personally, I'd rather not have them wasting bandwidth
banging on the door all the time - and this applies especially to those
who have to pay for incoming data. (Here in UK academia we are now being
charged for incoming transatlantic traffic.)
However, as I said, I have put the suggestion onto the wish list (see
NewWishList in the ftp directory).
