yes - this usually pops up if you switch over from sendmail/smail/...
to exim without reinstalling the MUAs

sort of - 'simply' recompile elm or patch its binarie (done that
over here for my lusers who stil use elm) - if you won't you might
loose mail as (some versions ?) of elm don't show the error generated
by exim back to the luser and he thinks the mail went out...
