I have had the same problem, but I am using Berkeley DB Library. After making
the changes recommended in the documentation for Berkeley DB users, I still had
'dbopen' errors and I then tried this:
make
make clean
make
make install
and that fixed it for me. I can't explain why it worked though. I even tested
two more times and it worked each time I built Exim in this manner. I am not
using glibc though.
