Several people have asked if I could make the document available in a
form other than PostScript. I have now put an ASCII version of it in
http://www.cus.cam.ac.uk/~ph10/draft1.txt
However, this contains just the titles for the figures. I have done it
in pages (there are 26) because there are footnotes, and I think these
are more easily handled on a page-by-page basis rather than lumping all
of them together at the end, which is what would happen if I formatted
it in a "galley" style.
[Maybe for future drafts I could arrange for the footnotes to appear
inline in brackets, like this, instead. Would that be preferable?]
