It is usually a DNS problem. That address seems fine at the moment. The
way to check this out if you notice a problem is to do

exim -d10 -bv owner-cifs@???

The -d10 will turn on debugging output from the DNS resolver, so you
will see exactly what queries and responses it is getting.
